Last week, 選考試験 was held in 柏の葉 studio.I was one of the judges and I would like to briefly share one auditionee that left an impression on me.
It was the last group's time.There were only 5 auditionees.They were from 3rd grade to 5th grade in Elementary.
Usually, in this age group, we have jiko pr and then a singing sample.During the stretch, dance and crossfloor, one auditionee was doing everything outstandingly!!
Her sitting and standing posture was really nice,she moves quickly when asked to move,she ohenji in a loud voice.She was not able to do the crossfloor steps perectly.
But what the heck? Why should it bother us judges?We were there to check if she can be a partner to YTJ,not check if she can raise her legs up to her head. ;)
You can see in her eyes her determination and eagerness to be there and show us her potential to be a member.
However, during the singing sample, she forgot the tune of her song.She couldn't communicate to us what was the problem.She was standing for quite some time infront of everyone.I felt really bad for her and wanted to help her.We, judges, finally decided to let her sit down and get back to her again.At the end, she remembers a tiny part and we let her sing that short part that she recall.
I felt her confidence go down because of that.Her singing voice was really smallbut she didn't give up until the end!!
In YTJ, we evaluate auditionees not if they can perfectly dance or sing or have technical skills for performing.We look at the character of each auditionees and their potentials.These are equally important as the former!
I gave her an A for not giving up and showing excellent behaviour in the 選考試験 ! \(^^)/

先週、柏の葉スタジオで選考試験が行われました。私も審査員の一人として参加しましたが、印象に残ったオーディション参加者を簡単に紹介したいと思います。
それは、最後のグループの時でした。オーディション参加者はたったの5人。彼らは小学校3年生から5年生までです。
通常、この年齢層では、自己PRをした後、歌唱審査をします。ストレッチ、ダンス、クロスフロアでは、一人のオーディション参加者が、すべてを見事にこなしていました。
彼女の座っている姿勢、立っている姿勢はとてもきれいでした。「動きましょう！」と言われたら、すぐに動きます。大きな声でお返事をしていました。
彼女はクロスフロアのステップを正確に行うことができませんでした。
しかし、そんなことは私たち審査員にとって気にすることではありません。私たちは、選考試験を通じて彼女がYTJのパートナーになれるかどうかをチェックしています。
彼女の目には、メンバーとしての可能性を見せたいという決意と熱意が感じられました。
しかし歌唱審査では、歌う曲を忘れてしまい、みんなの前でしばらく立ち尽くしていました。私は彼女に申し訳なく思い、助けてあげたいと思ったため、一旦彼女には座ってもらい、最後再び彼女に発表してもらうことにしました。最後に、彼女はほんの少しの部分を覚えていたので、その短い部分を歌ってくれました。
その結果、彼女の自信が失われていくのを感じました。彼女の歌声は本当に小さかったのです。
しかし、彼女は最後まであきらめませんでした。
YTJでは、完璧に踊れるとか、歌えるとか、技術があるとかではなく、それぞれのオーディション参加者の性格や可能性を見ています。これらは、前者と同じくらい重要なことです。
選考試験で諦めずに素晴らしい行動をした彼女に良い評価をあげました ! \(^^)/
選考試験の審査員として、そしてYTJスタッフとして、これからもメンバーの良いところを見ていきたいですね！
