１．YTJスタッフは、全ての子供たちと若者たちのよきパートナーとなる。
２．YTJは、YTJメンバーに「素晴らしい目標」を提案し「目標に向かってチャレンジできる環境」を整え、ともにその目標を達成します。
こちらはYTJが掲げている理念の一部です。
理想的なパートナーとは？パートナーとは、お互いをサポートし合い、忠実で、親切で、お互いがベストを尽くせるような存在であるべきだと考えています。
最近、レッスンでYTJメンバーは、生徒ではなくパートナーになれるようにするにはどうしたらいいかを考えています。ただ言われた通りに動くのではなく、人前で話すことから芸術的な表現まで、個人のスキルを伸ばすことを目指しています。そうすることで自信がつき、YTJという環境になじみ、周りの人を助けることができます。
これは、冒頭で述べた２つ目の理念に通じるものがあります。
私たちが提供する環境は、単に床がビニールで覆われ、エアコンが完備されたスタジオというものではありません。メンバーの“心”の環境でもあるのです。
私は、メンバー全員がYTJに来る時にはスタッフやメンバーを見て、歓迎されていると感じてほしいと思っています。もしメンバーやスタッフが落ち込んだり、他人に対してネガティブな感情を抱くと、周りの人たちに影響を与えるので、チームや個人として高い目標に向かって努力できる環境でなくなってしまいます。
本当の意味でのパートナーとは、うまくいく環境を維持したいものです。
そのためには、お互いのアイデア、提案、フィードバックなどをオープンにすることです。それはなぜか？
なぜなら、私たちは「パートナー」から学び、「パートナー」とともに学ぶことで、自分一人で行うよりも、常に向上できるからです。
YTJの中だけでなく、学校でも、課外活動でも、そして特に家庭でも。どうすればより良いパートナーになれるかを常に考えていきましょう。

This is part of YTJ's philosophy.
What does it mean to be an ideal partner? Partners should be supportive of each other, loyal, kind, and help each other to do their best.
Recently, I have considered how I can help the members I work with in lessons to be partners rather than students. I don’t want them to feel like they are just being told what to do, but I am aiming for them to expand their personal skills from things as public speaking to artistic expression.
The expansion of their skill sets will help them to gain confidence and feel more comfortable in the YTJ environment so that they can in turn help others around them.
This contributes to the second statement I listed at the start of this post. The environment we provide is not merely a studio with vinyl padded flooring and air conditioning. It is also the environment of the members hearts.
I want all the members to feel just as welcome to YTJ by the place they come to as much as the people they see, staff and members alike. When members and staff feel down or have some types of negative feelings towards others it can really affect other people around them and then the environment is no longer one where everyone can strive to achieve the high goals that we set for ourselves as a team or individuals.
True partners want to keep their environment conducive to success and that includes keeping ourselves and each other open to each other’s ideas, suggestions, feedback, etc. Why?
Because we know that we can always improve by learning from and with our “partners” more than we can on our own.
Let’s always consider how we can be better partners, not just in YTJ, but also in school, in our extracurricular activities, and especially at home with our family.
